I Smoke Because Cops Kill Dogs

Why do I smoke?  I smoke because it helps me cope.  I smoke because cops kill dogs.   I smoke because I help the families of those dogs.  I smoke because I feel their grief and their rage.  I witness the horror and misery as they are often  handcuffed and beaten and forced to watch and listen as their dogs die shrieking in agony and thrashing around in a pool of blood. I watch as  neighbors and friends are prevented at gun point from helping the dog.  I watch as the families fall apart.  I watch them get divorces, I watch them turn to alcohol and drugs, I watch as they pull up stakes and move away from the horror that follows them.  I watch as they struggle to pay vet bills for the ones that do survive.

I smoke because I feel their frustration and anger when nobody will help them.  I smoke because lawyers won’t take their cases; because city officials ignore them; because the cops are almost never held accountable.  I smoke because those we elected to speak for us refuse to help; because I feel the helplessness and despair of the victims.  I smoke because it helps me control my rage as I watch cops lie in the face of incontrovertible video proof; as I watch their supervisors support them in their lies.  I watch as they collapse in grief, cradling the body of their slaughtered pet.

I smoke because I feel their pain when  they have to watch their little girl’s leg get shattered by a bullet from a cop trying to shoot a dog; because they are struck in the head by an errant bullet and get permanent brain damage.  I smoke because I feel the pain of the man and child who watched their wife and mother die from being shot by a hysterical terrified cop trying to shoot their dog.

I watch.  I feel.  I grieve.  I rage.  I smoke.

Cops Try To Kill Fifteen Year Old Dog, Claiming They Felt Threatened

Yet another family pet has been ruthlessly brutalized by the cops.  In Odessa, Texas, U.S. Marshals shot Spot, a 15 year old dog, multiple times while attempting to serve an arrest warrant.

CBS 7 News says that the cops were swarming a neighborhood looking for Austin Dawson, who had violated his parole.  Homeowner Anthony McDowell allowed police to search his property.  “I said you can come in the house and look.  I’m giving you permission”, said McDowell.  The cops were warned that there was a dog in the back yard.

Despite the warning, they shot Spot multiple times, claiming that he “came towards them in an aggressive manner.”  Spot is fighting for his life at a vet clinic in Odessa.  Although the vet believes he will survive, he will never walk again.

“That’s the reason he said hey he ain’t here, why didn’t we just leave? But he made it his business to let us know that he’s serious come back here and kill our dog.  He put two slugs into my dog for no apparent reason and we asked him why and he couldn’t give us no justification. He didn’t run charging barking or nothing. My dog was scared of the police officers,” said a distraught McDowell.

This man tried to be a good citizen.  He gave the cops permission to search his place and they rewarded his honesty and cooperation by tearing his house apart and trying to kill his dog.  They knew there was a dog present, there was absolutely no excuse for such an action.  The homeowner was present; all they had to do was have him secure the dog.

As usual, the lame old “I felt threatened” excuse was trotted out.  It appears that by simply existing, dogs threaten law enforcement.  It is baffling why heavily armed and armored “brave” men are so incredibly terrified of dogs.  It is horrifying that so many cold-blooded killers are given guns and badges and allowed to slaughter dogs with impunity.  It is obvious that these cops kill because they like to kill.  It is crystal clear that they have declared war on us and our dogs.  Nothing has stopped them; they have no regard for life in any form.  We are under siege by an enemy we are not allowed to repel.  This is America, people, how long are we going to allow this to continue?

Et Tu Paypal?

Now Paypal wants to join the ranks of those urging us to implant foreign objects in our bodies.  According to the Telegraph,

“PayPal is working on a new generation of embeddable, injectable and ingestible devices that could replace passwords as a means of identification.

Jonathan LeBlanc, PayPal’s global head of developer evangelism, claims that these devices could include brain implants, wafer-thin silicon chips that can be embedded into the skin, and ingestible devices with batteries that are powered by stomach acid.”

These devices would monitor the internal workings of your body, transmitting information that would identify you more accurately than your fingerprints, says Mr. LeBlanc.  He asserts that people keep using unsecure passwords like “letmein”, “123456”, and “password123” and the like.  Then they are shocked and upset when their passwords are cracked.  What he fails to realize is every single website we visit, every single thing we do, every key we punch, wants us to set up an account, to register, to log in.  This comes down to literally hundreds of passwords and accounts.  I doubt any of us is willing to jump through that many hoops to read a two paragraph article on a small website.  Some newspapers actually want you to buy a subscription using your credit card.  I have absolutely no intention of using my credit card on an unsecured small town newspaper website.  I have, however, even less intention of sending my medical and other private information to Paypal.

This enormous push to have us tagged and identified like scientific experimental animals turned loose in the wild is suspicious at best and incredibly alarming at worst.  It is beyond belief.  Big Brother is not content with watching now.  He wants every detail possible.  Anyone who thinks this is a good idea really shouldn’t breed, we don’t need that level of sheeplike stupidity and acceptance perpetuated in the human race.

Mr. LeBlanc, you can take your chips and implant them right where the sun don’t shine.

Texas Veterinarian Cruelly Slaughters Neighborhood Cat

Texas veterinarian Kristen Lindsey has gained overnight infamy and become one of the most reviled people in the country.

Lindsey lives in Brenham, Texas.  On Wednesday she posted an appalling photo to her Facebook page of her happily smiling self holding up a dead cat with an arrow through its head.  The caption on the photo says “My first bow kill, lol.  The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it’s [sic] head!  Vet of the year award ….gladly accepted!”  The comments from her friends and family on the photo are equally appalling.  Some of them are literally praising her, and when one person questioned the photo as being manipulated,  her mother jumped into the conversation,  bragging that she took the picture.  The entire tone of the post was excitement and congratulatory.

One veterinarian who saw the photo observed that the cat did not appear to be dead yet when she was displaying it by holding it up by the arrow.  He felt that from the way its front legs were positioned that it was still alive and no doubt suffering horribly.

The photo caused such a firestorm that Lindsey’s employer, an animal clinic in Brenham, fired her on the spot and covered her name on their sign with duct tape.  The Texas Veterinary  association issued a press release condemning her actions:

“We are saddened and disturbed by the unfortunate actions of this individual, and we remind Texas residents that this conduct is not reflective of the veterinary profession or of the veterinarians who strive to embody the words of the veterinarian’s oath every day.”

The veterinarian’s oath is as follows:

“Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering, the conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge.  I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics.  I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence.”

To make matters worse, the cat was identified as not a stray feral cat, but the beloved family pet belonging to an elderly couple.  His name was Tiger.   He was a friendly,  outgoing cat who enjoyed riding on the front of a lawn tractor.

The Austin County Sheriff’s office is pursuing the case, but has said that they cannot prosecute the woman based on just the photo, they need to “authenticate” it.  Apparently her written  confession and the corroborating comments of her adoring family and friends are not sufficient.

There is so much that is wrong with this that one article cannot hold it all.  This evil woman took an oath to protect and care for animals, not to shoot them with a bow and arrow and then gloat and brag about it and pose happily for a photo.  Her immediate circle of family and friends appear to share her perverted psychopathy judging from their comments on the post.

The vile, brutal woman has since taken down her post, deactivated her facebook account, and gone to ground.  She has not been available for comment to any media.  In my opinion she better stay hidden for the rest of her life.  She is a disgusting evil waste of oxygen, an oathbreaker and a disgrace to her profession and the human race.  How on earth does a person who has taken enough time out of her life to complete the grueling requirements to become a veterinarian, which is not one bit easy, do something like this?  There is something fundamentally wrong with her.  The veterinarian profession is made up, by necessity,  of warm, loving,  compassionate people who dedicate themselves to making this a better world to live in.  Kristen Lindsey is a vicious pyschopath with sociopathic personality traits.  Her license to practice veterinary medicine must be revoked immediately  never to be issued again.  She is pure evil.

This Day In History April 16

According to History.com, Albert Hoffman,  a Swiss chemist, discovered the hallucinogenic effects of LSD.

Hoffman worked at a pharmaceutical research laboratory.  He created LSD-25, a synthetic drug, in 1938, as research on the medicinal value of lysergic acid compounds.  In 1943, he accidentally consumed some.  He was tripping and didn’t understand it at first.  He wrote his experience down in his lab notes:

“Last Friday, April 16, 1943, I was forced to interrupt my work in the laboratory in the middle of the afternoon amd proceed home, being affected by a remarkable restlessness, combined with a slight dizziness.  At home I lay down and sank into a not unpleasant, intoxicated-like condition characterized by an extremely stimulated imagination.  In a dreamlike state with eyes closed (I found the daylight to be unpleasantly glaring), I perceived an uninterrupted stream of fantastic pictures, extraordinary shapes with intense, kaleidoscopic play of colors.”

In order to confirm the experience, he took the drug on purpose.  He published a report announcing the discovery, and the popular drug made its entry into the world.  As far as records say, widespread use did not happen until the 60s.  It was made illegal in 1965.

Family Feuds

Filip Handl

According to SFGate.com, the Handl family says that Filip Handl, 60, was parking his full size GMC truck in the driveway of his home when he ran over and killed his stepdaughter, Lesley Carroll, 41, who was helping him park.  His wife said he had been drinking, and stood there helpless as he hit the gas and pinned Ms. Carroll under the truck. After he hit her he pushed her through a gate on their property, and although family members were screaming at him he continued to accelerate until she was completely underneath the truck.  She died at the scene.  According to the family he was an alcoholic.

The Kenai Peninsula, Alaska

ABC news reports that in Kenai, Alaska, a family of four and their dog went missing with absolutely no trace in May.  The search has been ongoing.  Last Saturday human remains and canine remains were found along a trail near Kenai, along with a handgun.  Police are confident that the remains are those of the missing family.

In Chula Vista, 10news.com says a California man who used a samurai sword and a barbecue fork to kill his younger brother at their home has been sentenced to 31 years to life in state prison.  In April 2013 their grandfather found them fighting and went to a neighbor’s house for help.  Police and paramedics found Mario Figueraoa dead on the floor.

In Orlando, Florida, the AP says last Friday a mother was originally  reported as having stabbed her three children; two died at the scene and the five month old baby died Sunday night.  According to police the children had been cut, but the cause of death turned out to be strangulation for the infnt and the six year old and drowning for the seven year old.  No indication of stabbing was found.

Families are supposed to be where you belong, where you feel safe.  They are supposed to be a refuge, a place you go when you have nowhere else.  Tragedies like this are bad enough in their own right, but the depth of devastation when it is within a family is much worse.

Franklin Graham Weighs in on Ferguson

Recently the Reverend Franklin Graham posted this on his public Facebook page:

“Listen up–Blacks, Whites, Latinos, and everybody else. Most police shootings can be avoided. It comes down to respect for authority and obedience. If a police officer tells you to stop, you stop. If a police officer tells you to put your hands in the air, you put your hands in the air. If a police officer tells you to lay down face first with your hands behind your back, you lay down face first with your hands behind your back. It’s as simple as that. Even if you think the police officer is wrong—YOU OBEY. Parents, teach your children to respect and obey those in authority. Mr. President, this is a message our nation needs to hear, and they need to hear it from you. Some of the unnecessary shootings we have seen recently might have been avoided. The Bible says to submit to your leaders and those in authority ‘because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account.’”

With all due respect, Mr. Graham, and you have earned my respect, that is pretty easy for you to say from the safety of your celebrity ivory tower status.  You are known across the entire civilized world.  You have never experienced what us common Americans experience from the cops every day.  Until the police state under this dictatorship gets much, much worse, you never will.

You may get pulled over for the occasional traffic stop, but you will never get brutally beaten to death like Kelly Thomas.  You will never have someone stride into your living room, say “I don’t have time for this”, and shoot you in the chest and kill you while you are restrained between two other cops like Keith Vidal.  You will never be put in handcuffs and tazed until you are braindead like Danielle Maudsley.  You will never be trapped in a bathroom and have a gun emptied into you like Donald Kaldrick.  You will never be subjected to actual cavity searches on a public highway like Angel Dobbs, Brandy Hamilton, and Alexandria Randle.  You will never have your dog’s head blown off with a shotgun and have to listen to a cop say “Did you see the way its collar flew up into the air when I blew its head off?  That was awesome!” like Sarah Brown did.

The Jews in Germany obeyed the law.  How did that work out for them?  How has it ever worked out for anyone under the laws and edicts of a dictatorship?  How did obeying the law work out for Jesus Christ himself?

You, sir, have never experienced being a common, ordinary American.  You do not truly understand what it is like to be abused and beaten by out of control cops.  You do not truly understand what it is like to stand there and see your loved one literally murdered by an evil person wearing a badge.  You  most likely have never been discriminated against because of your race.

Do you even understand that just as good people become cops because they genuinely care about their fellow humans, truly evil people become cops because they know they can abuse and murder and be protected by those in authority?  Do you realize that in the first two months of 2015, almost a hundred people have been killed by cops?  Many of those people were completely innocent and unarmed.  Do you realize that for the first month of 2015, the only cops killed were killed by other cops?

I understand the depth and sincerity of your faith, and I understand that you want to follow God’s laws.  However, on a personal level, when I am confronted by true evil, I WILL NOT SUBMIT.  When those who have been placed in authority by the people forget their place and disregard their oath and go against God’s laws themselves, in my opinion I am under no obligation to submit to that.  I understand all the arguments about the authorities being responsible to God, I understand that we are supposed to leave vengeance to God.  We are not, however, required to leave justice to God.  Cops are not above the law.  When they do something wrong, they must be punished under the law exactly as all Americans.  To suggest or support any other course of action is absolutely unacceptable.
